PDO designed the new home for Avila University Arizona, bringing its rich academic tradition to the heart of Goodyear’s innovation corridor. Connecting with local and regional elements was key for the client, and PDO built on their concept of Vivid Horizons to create a space with the bold, saturated colors of the Arizona landscape—the deep oranges of desert cliffs, the warm yellows of sunlit sands, and the vibrant blues of the open sky. The palette weaves these regional hues together with Avila’s brand colors, grounding the university’s identity firmly in its surroundings in a learning environment that feels warm, welcoming, and alive.

PDO’s thoughtful material choices consider both durability and brand recognition, and stand up to the demands of an active academic setting. Every decision—from the vibrant, regionally inspired palette to the carefully selected finishes—creating an environment that connects Avila to its new Arizona home.
