Source Water is an innovative company focused on sustainability through their renewable water systems, and as such, wanted to focus on raw materials and a connection to nature in their Scottsdale headquarters. PDO designed the space to mimic nature, using a neutral palette, natural light, and elemental materials to create a serene and natural environment.
PDO purposefully used round forms throughout the space to both connect with Source branding and mirror the natural world, through circular lighting and ceiling panels that mimic clouds and the sun. Raw materials, such as metal, polished concrete, and stone, and natural elements such as preserved moss and other greenery add to the organic feel of the space.
Celebrating the natural light was a common theme throughout the space. Using full glass fronts on the executive offices allowed light to flood the central collaborative space. The greenery connects the users to the outside and the white walls combined with the raw materials make the space feel light, airy and fresh.
