When Farmers & Merchants Bank relocated to the heart of Garden Grove, RDC and PDO were there, delivering a sophisticated-yet-functional design that elevates the client’s brand while maintaining its warm connection to a city it has called home since 1955.

Scope of work began on the exterior with updates to an ATM pedestrian access and the application of a warm wood accent that continues on the interior. Once inside, guests are greeted with mill worked bench seating, large-format 3D textural tile and ceilings embedded with repeating wood slats and integrated lighting. The result is warmth, depth, and a cohesive thread running the length of the main branch walkway.

A vault room anchors the interior, framed with a floor-to-ceiling tile purposefully chosen to accentuate a show-stopping, centerpiece steel vault door. Wood, marble, and statement lighting weave throughout the remainder of the work and conference spaces—the final touches for the new Merchant & Farmers Garden Grove home.

The vault room is highlighted as a major feature in the space, with an elevated dimensional tile that reflects light and showcases the vault's steel door.
